Pharmacokinetics

Human chorionic gonadotropin is also known as “the pregnancy hormone,” due to its sustained release throughout pregnancy. In this system, upon implantation of the placenta, hCG is released from it.[3] From there, hCG interacts with the luteinizing hormone and choriogonadotropin receptors, which are located in the ovaries and testes. This binding then prompts the secretion of progesterone in women, and testosterone in men.[4] 

Scientific Studies

Many studies have shown the hormonal benefits associated with hCG. A study on its production before and during women’s pregnancy terms indicated increased fertility rates, including a greater likelihood of fertilization.[2] Several trials and studies have also pointed towards a link between heightened hCG levels and progesterone production in both sexes.[3]
